It always pleases me that no matter where I go, our durometer or hardness tester is a hit. Whether it be at a trade show in Melbourne Moscow or Las Vegas – everyone just loves to have a feel!
Not only do they feel the duro or hardness, they actual get to feel the products themselves.
Polyurethane bushing are key to the vehicle handling and durability but some brands have historically provided a hard uncompromising ride. The reality is some polyurethane bushings last no longer than rubber and are "hard" work while in service.

Since its humble beginnings over 10 years ago, Ultimate Street Car (USC) has grown to become the fastest, loudest, hottest and largest modified car festival in all of Europe. USC 2011 was definitely no different. Performance fanatics from all over the world make the yearly pilgrimage just to see the races, experience the nightlife, and to have a first look at the year’s best-looking performance vehicles.
No this is not James Bond but SuperPro Australia exhibiting at the 2011 Moscow Automechanika.
From 24th to 27th August, SuperPro Australia show cased our high quality products to the Russian Automotive public with great success.
SuperPro Australia shared the stand with Powerdown & King Springs along with the AAAA (Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association). It was a great experience to see how far Russia’s Automotive industry has advanced with major vehicle manufactures setting up in the region.
As Russia’s economy is still booming, the Auto industry has great potential and can look forward to a growing SuperPro presence in the region.

Brett Youlden, one of the select racers sponsored by SuperPro, recently took the prestigious honour of receiving the Rare Spares Hard Charger award. Youlden, who is widely known in the Australian racing scene, has done consistently well in his years on the track. He returned after a 9-month to the scene during the Touring Car Masters, once more behind the wheel of his Autolite/Mother’s 1971 Holden HQ Monaro GTS Coupe.
After finally nailing support from sponsors, Youlden finally had the resources to make a comeback, much to the delight of his family, team and of course, his supporters here at SuperPro. Despite taking a 9-month break that was spent improving the performance of that ever familiar mean and green machine, and knowing that additional funding was necessary to have the vehicle performing at its best, Youlden never gave up on his ultimate goal of revamping the HQ. Youlden knew that giving his machine an edge over his suped-up competitors was a step to winning, but it meant having to lighten his vehicle and installing new premium performance parts that sponsorship deals could make possible.
Youlden’s wait was not in vain. Returning just in time for the fourth round of the Touring Car Masters, Youlden more than proved his skill and commitment to winning not just for himself, but for everyone who supported him along the way.
Despite suffering setbacks during the practice race due to HQ suffering from a broken down throttle cable and fuel realy problems, Youlden and his team managed to work through the pressure. On the final race, the Autolite/Mother’s HQ got off to a great start, gliding through the track smoothly and moving up five places and landing inside the top ten racers.
With a great performance at the Touring Car Masters, Youlden clearly proved that a solid contender is back on the track.

SuperPro, an Australian manufacturer of automotive poly bushings and suspension parts, has long had a major presence in the world of motor sports. The brand was recently in the spotlight for its partnership with SATS Cosworth, one of the world’s leading drift racing teams.
SATS-Cosworth had an impressive showing at the British Drift Championship (BDC), with the drift team’s SuperoPro-equipped Toyota Supra pretty much destroying the competition in the Super-Pro class after 2 action-packed rounds of drifting. Behind the Supra’s wheel was none other than Mark "SIDEWAYSBUFF" Luney himself, who’s made a reputation for being one of the sharpest men in the drift scene.
Although it’s tempting to make the connection between SuperoPro’s high-quality bushings and suspension components, it would be foolish to place all the credit on them—but at the end of the day, it’s a no-brainer that the brand’s parts definitely had a major impact on the race’s results.
What makes SATS-Cosworth’s performance even more impressive is the fact that the Supra Luney drove at the event was somewhat at a “disadvantage” when compared to the other cars. Firstly, it was heavier, weighing in at 2,800 pounds. It was also equipped with a T51R turbo, which is far less responsive when compared to what the other cars in the competition had. It was also significantly wider, thus making handling more challenging.
Established in 2007, SATS was founded by brothers Chris and Iain Arthur, who had some assistance from family patriarch Sandy, who also headed Sandy Arthur Training Services. Despite facing difficulty early on, SATS eventually came into its own, thanks to the acquisition of new drivers and sponsors, such as SuperPro.
Though SuperPro and SATS-Cosworth’s partnership is young by industry standards, it seems as if that relationship between the two is only set to get better, thanks to the quality of SuperPro’s products and their willingness to lend their support.
Caster and what does it mean where the SuperPro catalogue mentions notes like the following ;
I have studied this angle and its effects on driving and handling in a vehicle over the years and a quick search on Wikipedia gives us a definition and the words from the definition - ‘’car racers sometimes adjust caster angle to optimize handling characteristics in particular driving situations’’. I think this pretty well sums up my reason for an interest in this angle.
Caster angle is the angular displacement from the vertical axis of the suspension of a steered wheel in a car, bicycle or other vehicle, measured in the longitudinal direction. It is the angle between the pivot line(in a car - an imaginary line that runs through the center of the upper ball joint to the center of the lower ball joint) and vertical. Car racers sometimes adjust caster angle to optimize their car's handling characteristics in particular driving situations.
